The Dover girls are creeping toward the 20-win mark for the season.

They grabbed their 17th on Tuesday when they pulled away from Aline-Cleo for a 65-39 home win.

The Lady Longhorns used an 18-5 run in the third quarter to grab their fourth win in five games.

The teams were tied at 14-all after the first quarter, but over held Aline-Cleo to 14 points combined over the next two.

Dover built up a six-point halftime lead as Kamree McNulty scored eight points in the second.

She added five more in the third as Joi Caldwell scored six as Dover’s lead swelled.

Katelyn Harviston caught fire in the fourth as she scored 10 of her 15 points.

McNulty ended her night with 22 points, 15 of which came in the first half.

Caldwell scored 11.

Dover is 17-7 on the season with one regular season game remaining.

The Lady Longhorns begin the playoffs next Saturday when they host the winner of Fort Cobb-Broxton and Oilton for a Class B district championship.

Shaw leads Longhorn victory

Defensive clamps in the first half allowed the Dover boys to grab a second straight blowout win.

The Longhorns thumped Aline-Cleo 60-24 at home to improve to 9-15 on the season.

The Cougars scored just four first-half points – two in each quarter.

Meanwhile, Kolten Shaw was dominating on Dover’s offensive end.

The senior post scored all 16 of his points in the first half as Dover led by 36.

He was the only Longhorn to reach double figures, but 10 different players scored.
