For the second straight year, Kingfisher will travel to the Ardmore area for the first round of the Class 3A playoffs.

Thursday night’s win at Anadarko gave KHS a third place finish in District 3A-1 behind champion Metro Christian and runner-up Perkins-Tryon.

Anadarko is fourth. The Jackets will play at Lone Grove to open the playoffs on Friday night.

Lone Grove was second in District 3A-2 behind Heritage Hall.

Marlow took third in the district and Pauls Valley fourth.

The Longhorns are 8-2 overall and went 5-2 in district games with losses to Heritage Hall and Plainview.

KHS lost at Plainview in the first round of the 2021 playoffs.
