Lady Eagles grab rare shutout on hardwood
Thirteen different Hennessey basketball players did Tuesday night what Harding Fine Arts was unable.
Knock down at least one bucket.
HHS pitched a shutout in its season opener as it blanked Harding Fine Arts 80-0 at the Eagle Event Center.
Not only did HFA not score, neither team even attempted a free throw in the contest.
But the Lady Eagles didn’t need them.
Larissa Macy paced a first quarter that saw them lead 24-0.
Macy scored seven of those points. Emma Sipe scored eight of her game-high 15 in the second quarter as the lead grew to 43-0.
Hennessey didn’t score fewer than 16 points in any quarter.
Kallie Rapp scored 10 for Hennessey while Macy and Katie Kennedy added nine points apiece.
