Jadyn Rother helped keep Okarche in the game.

Emma Stover made sure the Lady Warriors took it over.

Okarche improved to 2-0 in Three Rivers Conference games Tuesday with a 65-51 win at Oklahoma Bible Academy in Enid.

The Lady Warriors trailed by a point at halftime, but a 25-13 run in the third quarter saw them take a double-digit lead they wouldn’t lose.

Stover scored 10 of her game-high 22 points in that third quarter while Sophie Vandendriesche added six more.

Vandendriesche added seven points in the fourth quarter, which included going 4 for 4 from the free throw line.

OBA’s Lilyan Walden caught fire in the second quarter as she knocked down four 3-pointers.

However, the Lady Trojans were unable to pull away.

Rother scored nine points in the quarter as Okarche kept pace.

She ended her day with 17 points.

Vandendreische scored 13.

Walden had just one more 3-pointer after her second-quarter outburst and led OBA with 17.

The win moved Okarche to 11-1 overall.

Okarche’s boys also moved to 2-0 in the conference, but it was their first quarter that proved pivotal.

The Warriors outscored OBA by 13 in the opening frame before holding on for a 62-54 victory.

Endres was the responsi ble party as he made all three and scored 13 points.

Mueggenborg led the team with 19 points and five assists.
