Snider, Hood advance

The Kingfisher High School girls golf team won’t be advancing in the Class 3A playoffs.

Two individuals will, however.

KHS took seventh place Tuesday in a regional qualifier held at Kingfisher Golf Course.

Only the top-six teams advanced to this week’s regional.

Also moving on are the top-six individuals from non-qualifying teams.

Kingfisher’s Raegan Snider and Kylie Hood fell in that category.

Snider shot an 85 and Hood a 92.

They were the top two individual qualifiers.

They will play in Tuesday’s regional at Purcell with a chance to qualify for state.

Both were state qualifi ers a year ago.

Heritage Hall won the qualifier with a 370.

Oklahoma Christian Academy was the runner-up at 377. Also moving on were Per- kins-Tryon (385), Bethel (386), Washington (393) and Crossings Christian (410).

KHS shot a 424 as Mia Hartman carded a 122, Kadyn Daugherty a 125 and Merrin Evans a 134.

This was the first year for that trio to play competitive golf.
