The Hennessey Child Study Club voted to donate to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in memory of past members Cathy Schwarz and Margie Thompson during its Nov. 6 meeting. Members also made nominations for the Oklahoma Association of Mothers’ Clubs.

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: November 19 - Receiving/possessing/concealing stolen property. Officer Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of theft at Atwoods, 1213 S. Main St.

The first rankings of the basketball season were released Monday and two county teams sit atop their respective classes and several more are very near the top. Kingfisher is No. 1 in Class 4A boys and Lomega is the top Class B girls team according to the polls released on ossaarankings.com.

Kingfisher band members will be performing the annual Christmas concerts this weekend. There will be four different performances Sunday at Kingfisher Heritage Auditorium. Performances are scheduled as follows: • 1:30 p.m. - Fifth grade • 2 p.m. - Sixth grade • 2:45 p.m.

Kingfisher High School recently inducted its newest members into the National Honor Society during a ceremony at the Heritage Auditorium. To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum 3.75 GPA and have performed 10 hours of community service in Kingfisher.

The following traffic accident is being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:November 20, 4:25 p.m. - At 1215 S. Main St. Joseph Morton, 37, Elgin, driving a 2010 Ford F150, was parked in a parking space at United Supermarket, 1215 S. Main St.
