We’ve started compiling a list of local Halloween events. Municipal trick or treating times, chamber events and church events that also are featured in paid advertising will be included. •Kingfisher downtown trick or treating is scheduled for 4-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.

County wraps up RWD improvement project

Kingfisher County commissioners completed details of a Rural Water District 3 improvement project at their weekly meeting Monday. The $80,410 project completion involving a REAP grant required transfer of funds and a NODA affidavit of completion.

Kingfisher County 2020 open class fair results have been announced. Results are listed in order of placing unless otherwise indicated.

C&A Tribes get grant to expand broadband

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes received a $17,000 First Nations Development Institute grant to provide a wireless broadband network that allows internet access to the majority of tribal members.

Upper Room recognized by RSVP

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program recognized the Upper Room volunteers for their commitment to community non-profit organizations. The Upper Room, located at Second Street and Robberts Avenue in Kingfisher, has partnered with Opportunities, Inc. of Watonga for many years.
