Charity golf event slated here Sunday

Two annual golf scrambles are combining forces this weekend in hopes of continuing to aid the finalization of the Playground of Dreams.A four-person scramble will be Sunday, Sept. 20, at Kingfisher Golf Course. Shotgun start is 1 p.m.

Kingfisher Board of Education last week approved to enter a contract with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to provide a school-based specialist at the district. Jennifer Marler was hired to fill the role.

Kingfisher Bookcase Review Club will not meet again in 2020 in order to assure the safety of all its members during the COVID-19 pandemic. The club will decide in January 2021 when it will once again host meetings.
