Kingfisher County COVID-19 cases increased to 27 cases (20 recovered), Kingfisher City-County Emergency Manager Steve Loftis reported to county commissioners Monday.

Traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: June 15, 8:00 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33. Alexis Perez Navarro, 19, Kingfisher, driving a 2019 Ford Mustang, was traveling through the construction zone at the intersection of U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.

Hennessey board buys new mower for parks, adds to lifeguard staff

Hennessey’s town board approved purchase of a new mower for the parks department during a special meeting Friday, June 26. The Scag Tiger Cat 2 mower from McPhail’s Mower & Magneto of Crescent cost $7,470. The board also hired another certified lifeguard, Noah Moery.

Recent rains across much of Oklahoma have been timely for producers looking to plant another crop in their fields after harvesting wheat.

Election Tuesday; voting started

Early voting is under way for the June 30 primary and special elections. Registered voters could cast ballots from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingfisher County Courthouse. The election concludes at regular polling places from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
