When the Hennessey United Association board members were told there is no fl ag flying in Memorial Park because the fl agpole was old and needed to be replaced, they voted Tuesday night to unanimously repair or replace it.

The Kingfisher Food Bank has been providing food for those in need in Kingfisher County for the past 40 years. Meliah Ratcliff, volunteer director at the food bank, talked about the project last Thursday as guest speaker of the Kingfi sher Lions Club.

Two Kingfisher mothers were charged last week with felony child neglect in unrelated cases filed in Kingfi sher County District Court. A warrant was still outstanding at press time Friday for the arrest of Stevie Ray Goodblanket, 31, 221 S. Ninth St.

The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes are seeking public and local tribal input on plans to construct a community facility and wellness center on the old Kingfi sher Regional Hospital site at 500 S. Ninth St. The center is intended to be utilized by the community at large, as well as by tribal members.
