Macy Eminger and Emily Faith, both of Kingfisher, competed recently in statewide pageants. Faith was the second runner-up and overall talent winner in the Miss Oklahoma’s Outstanding Teen pageant where she competed as Miss Oklahoma City’s Outstanding Teen. She won $7,200 in scholarship money.

June sales tax checks for municipalities and counties were higher for the state and the city of Kingfisher and Kingfisher County but were down for other towns in the county and several other neighboring municipalities. Kingfisher received a June sales tax check of $518,512.47 which was 48.

An Enid truck driver underwent surgery on his left hand Thursday at OU Medical Center to treat injuries he suffered in a rollover accident Thursday morning about 10 miles east of U.S. 81 on the Dover-Crescent Road.

Kingfisher County OSU Extension Agent Laine Martin held an ATV safety course for 4-H members on June 18. The course was for members 10 years old and up. Youth learned proper riding techniques to better their skills as well as went over other safety practices.

Kingfisher County Extension next week will host a leader lesson open to all patrons on “DIY Dollar Store Decorating and Life Hacks.” The lesson will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26.
