One of Kingfisher’s FFA students earned top honors recently at a prestigious career development event. West Texas A&M University’s department of agricultural sciences hosted an invitational contest on its campus March 29.

Cloverbuds show their appreciation to KPD

April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month for 4-Hers and as a part of that, 4-H members are challenged to pledge their hands to larger service. Kingfisher 4-H Cloverbuds rose to this challenge and wanted to show their appreciation for all the work the Kingfisher Police Department does.

HOLY TRINITY STUDENTS AMONG BEST IN AFR CONTEST

HOLY TRINITY Catholic School students Arron Osborn, left, and Kate Pinkerton were recently selected in the top 100 posters of the 2018 AFR poster contest. Pinkerton is a first grader and Osborn is in third grade. More than 5,000 posters were submitted to the AFR state office this year.

HOTDOGS AGAINST HUNGER

The Lomega 4-H Cloverbuds, ages 5-8, recently helped ensure the food security of their neighbors in the Loyal, Omega and Hitchcock community. The children sold hotdogs last month at Atwoods in Kingfisher to raise funds for the Lomega Food Pantry.
