The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: Feb. 26 — Officer Richard Staton took a report from Rod McDaniels, pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church (509 N. Fourth Street), concerning a case of alleged embezzlement there.

Kingfisher High School seniors Madeline Loosen and Peyton Burns have been announced as the Junior Lions for March 2019. Loosen is the daughter of Marette and Jeff Forman and Clay Loosen.

STILLWATER, Okla. – Although commonly used in landscapes as an ornamental because of the showy white flowers in early spring and beautiful fall foliage, the callery pear is not a great choice for homeowners. In addition, it is known to be an invasive species.

Kingfisher County commissioners approved the plat of Cashion Estates at their weekly meeting Monday. The housing development planned one mile north of present Cashion town limits will contain 90 residential lots, according to the plat signed by commissioners.

Kingfisher County hosted a Healthy Alternative Cooking workshop for the members of the community on March 12. Lindy Hoel, the Family and Consumer Science educator, was the instructor and provider of the supplies and materials.
