Floyd Richard Ingle of Yukon passed away July 18, 2026.

Known as “Dick” to many of his childhood family and friends, he was born July 22, 1941, to Adela Selma (Schroeder) Ingle and Cleo Norman Ingle in Waukesha, Wisc.

The family moved to Dover when Floyd was 4 and Floyd graduated from Dover High School in 1959.

He attended Oklahoma A&M College, now Oklahoma State University, for one year.

He worked for a short time at Aero Commander before returning to Dover where he and his brother, Donny, owned and operated Ingle Brothers Dairy for many years.

In 2004, he met Sherree at Lucky Star Casino in Concho. Wanting to build a life together, he later moved to Oklahoma City, where they made their home.

He married Sherree in 2005 and they shared 17 wonderful years of marriage until her passing.

Though he never had children of his own, Floyd found the role he was meant to play when he became a grandpa in 2006 when his grandson Cade “Bubba” was born.

He would tell you that being a grandpa was his greatest joy in life. If you asked Cade or Addison, they would tell you he was the very best grandpa anyone could have hoped for.

From that day forward, he was simply “Grandpa” to anyone and everyone who knew him.

In 2011, Floyd became a grandpa again when his granddaughter Addison “Boo Boo” was born.

He loved to sing songs to his grandkids, play silly games, wear funny costumes and take them to Walmart at any hour of the day or night.

Whatever they wanted to do, Grandpa was more than happy to make it happen.

In 2017, Floyd and Sherree moved to Yukon to be closer to Shaunna, Lucas, Cade and Addi.

Floyd enjoyed picking his grandkids up from school, watching them swim in their backyard pool, taking them to the park and just being their Grandpa.

Floyd and his late wife, Sherree, loved spending time at Newcastle Casino. Floyd was quite the “high roller,” winning many large jackpots and even a Jeep Gladiator.

He was once featured in one of the casino’s television commercials.

Floyd was a man of deep faith who prayed and read his Bible throughout his life. He placed his trust in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and found comfort in God’s promise that one day, through the resurrection, he would be reunited with those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sherree (Hobbs) Ingle; and his brothers Donald “Donny” Ingle, William “Bill” Ingle and Charles Ingle, who died at birth.

He is survived by his beloved daughter Shaunna Hinshaw and her husband Lucas; his grandchildren Cade and Addison; his sister Vinita “Susie” Carter of Wichita, Kan., and her husband James “Jim” Carter and their daughter Lori Taylor, along with her children, Christian, Kelsey and Luke; and his brother James “Jim” Ingle of Milford, Mich., and his wife Emily and their children Amy Cull and Bruce Ingle.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 24, at McNeil’s Funeral Service in Mustang with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.
