FINALLY!

For the second straight week, it was a tale of two halves for the Kingfisher football team.This time, however, the tale had a happier ending.KHS got its first win of the season last Friday as a homecoming crowd packed the stands to see the Yellowjackets handle Mount St. Mary 24-6.

KHS softball team hosting pumpkin patch, fall festival this Saturday

Kingfisher’s softball program is hosting a Fall Festival this Saturday.The fundraiser for the program will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Kingfisher HIgh School softball field.It will feature pumpkins that are available for purchase, but also much more.

Kingfisher was a part of two no-hitters on Thursday.Unfortunately, one of them was at the Lady Jackets’ expense.That helped lead to the softball season coming to an end on Friday.The Lady Jackets were defeated 6-0 by Dickson Friday on the second day of their Class 4A regional at Blanchard.

Warriors close to state tournament berth

Okarche is one game away from elimination.But the Warriors are also one win shy of reaching the state baseball tournament.The Warriors went 1-1 Thursday in their first two games of the Class A regional held at Oktaha.Ranked ninth in Class A, Okarche knocked off No. 8 Tushka 4-3 in their opener.

Reserve basketball seating goes on sale this Monday

Kingfisher High School is once again selling reserved seats for home varsity basketball games.The seats - the blue chairbacks located in the middle portion of the lower section of the south side of the APB - will go on sale Monday, Oct. 2.They will be $50 apiece.
