McIntyre earns degree from OU

Kathryn McIntyre will graduate summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma on May 9 with a bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine.She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Ray and Kathryn McIntyre, longtime Kingfisher residents.She is the daughter of Dr. Dale and Laura McIntyre of Bartlesville.

7 county students graduate from UCO

The University of Central Oklahoma celebrated the achievements of approximately 1,438 spring and summer graduates during the Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremonies May 9-10, in Central’s Hamilton Field House.UCO President Todd G. Lamb gave remarks at each of the university’s four ceremonies.

A busy agenda saw the Kingfisher Board of Education conclude about a three-hour meeting with a slew of personnel moves Monday night.Some of the moves were transfers within the district, new titles, new hires and resignations as the board held its May regular meeting.

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.Joining the local civic group were Mylene Jones, Landon Schroeder, Emily Warren and Mason Alig.Jones is the daughter of Jerry Jones and Nicole Jones.She’s active in wrestling and Frontline Ministries.

More county road construction

Various much-needed road construction projects around the county are causing detour woes for motorists lately.As Dover-Crescent Road and Beard Road are both out of normal commission, another job is also awaiting completion.

Cookie sales lead to weekend of fun, giving for Troop 424

Kingfisher County Girl Scout Troop 424 spent a weekend last month in downtown Oklahoma City in celebration of a successful cookie season.The girls attended Brickopolis, had a hotel swimming party and visited the Myriad Gardens.
