Kingfisher County Court Clerk Lauren Stroh issued marriage licenses recently to the following couples: March 24: Ricky Ray Yearley, 64, and Wendy Kay Zech, 60, both of Union City.March 26: Bryson Lane Bowers, 29, and Madison Tyler Green, 29, both of Cashion.

The torch has been symbolically passed for KHS Photography. Outgoing Chief Wyatt Long made it offi cial recently in an annual ceremony for the student-run photography department at Kingfi sher High School when he presented a torch to next year’s chief, Finley Harrison.

Jayne Suess, a cybersecurity professional with over 30 years of information technology, internal audit, information security and information assurance experience, was the guest speaker of the Kingfisher Rotary Club recently.

The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence announced Tuesday morning that it has awarded $24,000 in grants to 13 mentoring programs across the state that serve students. Among them is the Kingfisher Educational Foundation’s Students With A Role Model (SWARM) program.

A ping-pong tournament was held among the highschool girls of Holy Trinity school the past week. Those participating played games during the noon hours and during physical education periods. Alice Gassen and Betty Hockenschneider won the final game from Edna Wittrock and Dorothy Heinen.
