Early voting starts Thursday

Early voting begins this Thursday, Nov. 13, for the halfcent sales tax extension proposed by Kingfisher County.The sales tax funds a number of county services and has been in place since 1991.If approved, it will extend it for another five years. Election day for that sales tax is Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Bid approved to equip Omega FD truck

Kingfisher County commissioners Monday approved the low bid from Northwest Fabrication LLC of $124,350, as recommended by Fire Chief B.J. Waeger, to equip a new brush truck for the Omega Fire Department.Four bids were opened a week earlier on the project.
