A field representative for Congressman Frank Lucas addressed members of the Kingfisher Rotary Club last Tuesday. Emma Alexander, pictured left, touched on a number of issues during the civic club’s meeting, including the impending Farm Bill; the Science, Space and Technology Committee on which Lucas serves; as well as budget issues. Lucas (R-Cheyenne) has a district that covers 32 Oklahoma counties, including Kingfisher County. In addition to serving as chairman of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee during the 118th Congress, he’s also on the Financial Services and Agriculture committees. The latter will play a major role in crafting the new Farm Bill later this year. Alexander was joined at the meeting by fellow field rep Wesley Javorsky, center. Javorsky, new to the position, will be Lucas’ representative in Kingfisher County as well as several other counties in northwest Oklahoma. They are pictured with Kingfisher Rotarian Brian Henderson.
