Lacy Public School graduates and former students braved the Oklahoma wind for a 2022 reunion photo in front of a mural at the Lacy Community Center (school’s former cafeteria). After a reception at the center, Lacy Panthers, spouses, school staffers and friends enjoyed a catered dinner. Lacy school closed in 1968, consolidating with Hennessey Public Schools. “Lacy didn’t have a football program, so boys who wanted football went to Hennessey,” said one of those former HHS football players.
