Nolte signs with MIAA school

Josh Nolte, a 2022 graduate of Okarche High School, recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball next season at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo. Nolte recently completed his second year at Dodge City (Kan.) Community College as a pitcher where he compiled a 3-0 record over 15 appearances in his sophomore season as the Conquistadors finished with a 38-23 record and advanced to the NJCAA Division 1 Plains District/Region 6 Championship tournament for the first time since 2017. Missouri Western State is an NCAA Division 2 member and competes in the MIAA conference which features 12 baseball playing members including Oklahoma schools Rogers State, Northeastern State and the University of Central Oklahoma. This summer, Nolte will be playing for the Medicine Hat (Alberta, Canada) Mavericks of the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL). The WCBL is Canada’s pre-eminent summer collegiate baseball league in the tradition of such outstanding American collegiate circuits as the Cape Cod Baseball League, the New England Collegiate Baseball League, the Coastal Plain League, the Northwoods League and the Pacific International League.
