Read moreSeveral dozen current Kingfisher Public Schools staff members gathered Monday at Kingfi sher Junior High to welcome the newest faculty members. The school hosted an ice cream social as a way to introduce the new incoming teachers to those already on staff. Superintendent David Glover addressed the crowd first, then introduced each of the building principals who then introduced their new faculty members. Afterward, principals served ice cream and cookies to the staff and their families. Above is a picture of the group listening to Glover. Below is new KJH Principal Chris Farris (right) talking with Dave Slezickey. The former Kingfisher city manager, Slezickey is the husband of KJH Counselor Melissa Slezickey. KPS will host “Meet Your Teacher” at its various buildings on Tuesday, Aug. 8. At Gilmour Elementary, it will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Heritage Elementary and Kingfisher Upper Elementary will be from 5-7 p.m. That’s also the time slot for “open house” at KJH and the high school.
