Jackets win academic state championship

Kingfisher High Shool’s boys basketball team earned the 2023 Class 4A academic state championship. The team was recognized Saturday morning at State Fair Arena. Team members were responsible for a combined 3.89 grade point average in earning the honor. It’s the second time in three years Kingfisher has won the academic title.
