OKARCHE TOWN CLERK

DANA REESE is a 1988 graduate of KHS and earned a bachelor’s in accounting from OU in 1992. She moved to Okarche nearly 30 years ago upon marrying her husband, Steve and they have two children, Stephanie and Bryce. An accountant with 30 years’ experience, Dana was appointed Okarche town clerk in October 2016 and has since been elected twice to the position. “I’m dedicated to putting our citizens FIRST; doing what is right for Okarche and always upholding the law. This is a complex position for which I am well versed and trained. Okarche requires a Town Clerk with the knowledge and experience to perform the job. Please vote on April 4.”

OPS SCHOOL BOARD

MIKE KRITTENBRINK has served on the board for just over a year and is seeking his first full term. A 1997 OHS graduate, he earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from OSU in 2002. He’s the mechanical engineering manager at Nortek Air Solutions–Temtrol. Mike and his wife Andi have three children: Cal (15), Grady (13) and Will (10). “As a board member I will work to ensure the school board provides budget transparency; provides a safe environment for our children and staff; hires and retains excellent teachers and staff; builds trust between parents and teachers; and ensures our children receive the best education for a successful life.”

Driver’s license legislation makes sense

Conservatives understand that we live in an imperfect world, full of imperfect people. Therefore good public policy addresses the world as it is, not as we’d like it to be. The federal government has failed, for decades, to secure our nation’s borders and enforce immigration laws. The consequence is that there are millions of people living in these United States as illegal aliens. State officials are left to pick up the pieces.
