Demolition began Wednesday on the old Kingfisher County Jail south of the courthouse, after 86 years of service. The facility was replaced by the new Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center south of town. Jackson Demolition of Enid was awarded the contract to take the jail down and clear away the debris.
