Lions Club members take tour of new justice center

Kingfisher County Sheriff Dennis Banther, center, conducted a guided tour of the newly-completed Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center for local Lions Club members recently. Located south of town, west of the hospital on Victory Lane, the facility houses a state-of-the-art jail facility, the entire sheriff’s department staff, a 911 call center, an office for Kingfisher Emergency Management, prisoner transfer facilities, interrogation room, a kitchen for feeding inmates, an on-site courtroom for the Kingfisher County associate district judge and architectural features planned for expansion as future growth dictates.
