MONDAY FULL OF FOND FAREWELLS

The Kingfisher community - and beyond - paid tribute to a pair of civil servants Monday at their respective retirement parties. Steve Loftis (pictured right in the top left photo) is retiring as the Kingfisher City-County Emergency Management director after 24 years in the position. His retirement party was held in the courtroom of the Kingfisher County Courthouse during the afternoon. Among the dozens attending his reception was Ryan Deatherage (left), who will take over the position for Loftis. Also among the visitors to Loftis’ party was Kingfisher Fire Chief Tony Stewart, who earlier in the day was honored with his retirement party at City Hall. Stewart (center in the top right photo) is pictured with visitors to his reception, which included Okarche Fire Chief Steve Liebl (left) and Glenn Boeckman (right). [KT&FP Staff Photos]
