Work could begin on wind farm project in January

Tanner Yost with Kirkham Michael Consulting Engineers gave Kingfisher County commissioners an update on the Wagon Wheel Project (wind farm) that is primarily in Garfield County but extends into the northeast corner of Kingfisher County Monday.

County students playing roles on successful RCC academic team

The Redlands Community College Academic Team traveled to Kansas to compete in the Garden City Invitational, fielding three teams in the competition. The “A” team went undefeated, winning first place, and the “B” team finished in third. Keira Flenniken and Brody Sadler claimed first and third place, respectively, in individuals. Last week, four Redlands teams competed at Murray State in the Collegiate Novice Invitational. Redlands defeated Oklahoma State University, led by Redlands alumni Noelle Eaton. The team also tied with the University of Oklahoma, which resulted in a double playoff with Redlands finishing in first place. Among those on the team are four from Kingfi sher County. Kylie Bailey of Okarche is pictured on the second row in the center. Kingfisher’s Andrew Osborn is on the far right of the second row. Pictured at the top center is Alvaro Valles of Hennessey and pictured just right of him is Brody Sadler of Okarche.
