TEMPORARY PROBLEM – Much-needed (and much-forecasted) rains found their way to Kingfi sher County on Friday morning. The expected weather event prompted two county schools to play their Week 8 football games on Thursday (see Page 2). When the fi rst round of projected rain hit Friday morning, more than 2 inches fell in less than two hours, causing some fl ash fl ooding on U.S. Highway 81/Main Street on the city’s north end. That prompted a closure of the highway, forcing traffi c to detour. The highway opened back up just after 11 a.m. [KT&FP Staff Photo by Jeremy Ingle]
