KCRW’s Bowerman among those honored at OFRW state convention

The Kingfisher County Republican Women’s club was well represented at this year’s Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women’s 41st Biennial State Convention held Nov. 17-18 at the Champion Convention Center in Oklahoma City. The convention featured Congresswoman Stephanie Bice, as the keynote speaker. Mary Bowerman of Kingfisher was awarded the Woman of the Year Award for the local club and received a commemorative plate. Tamara Hopkins of Hennessey will be serving as the CD3 assistant district director and Debbie Parks of Kingfisher was elected as first vice president for OKFRW for 2024- 25. The group also attended the annual First Ladies Banquet on Nov. 17, with the Keynote Speaker Niva Hill from Oklahoma City telling of her life as a political consultant. Two members from KCRW, Barbara McCune of Kingfisher and Amanda Hills Dobson of Hennessey, joined the First Ladies and received roses as their bios were read.
