Vandruff, Cotter named Cashion football royalty

Senior Jackson Vandruff (59, on left) was named the 2022 Cashion High School football homecoming king and Avery Cotter was crowned the queen prior to the team’s game last week. Standing with the royalty are crown bearer Lane Richison, far left, and flower girl Madison Bernethy, far right. Cashion defeated Western Heights 55-8 in the homecoming game. The non-district contest saw Cashion improve its record to 2-3 on the season. Camden Maroney (23, above) is pictured running the ball during the win against the Jets. Cashion returned to action Friday (after press time) in a home game against Watonga. Results from that Week 6 contest will be in Wednesday’s edition.
