Kingfisher quiz wizzes head to nationals

Thirteen fourth through eighth grade students from Kingfisher schools have been packing their heads with all the right answers as they get ready to represent their district in a national quiz bowl event in Orlando, Fla., later this month. They’ll take on their best and brightest peers from across the nation in a game show type format to provide fast answers to tough questions across all subject areas. Melody Kuehn, Kingfisher sixth grade teacher, far left, is the team coach and faculty sponsor and escorted the team to a recent Kingfisher Rotary Club meeting to demonstrate the breadth and depth of their combined knowledge. Team members include: front row, from left: Noah Clayton, Kevyn Aguinaga, Finley Harrison, Scott Schellenberg, Brantley Johnson, Brandon Guiterrez and Savana Reherman; back row: Kuehn, Lucas Jackson, Mateo Arita, Barron Bollenbach, Trayson Deterding, Aidan Stephens and Carson Swafford.
