Boy, the weather has been nice these last few weeks! The conditions where I live were just beautiful… sunny days with average temperatures in the 60’s to low 70’s and little wind. It’s hard to believe that it’s the middle of November. With weather like this, it’s easy to forget that winter is right around the corner. With that in mind, it might be a good idea to give a little thought to what kind of surprises Mother Nature might have in store for us in the coming months, which brings me to the subject of El Niño.

The funeral for Sharon Pollard, 75, was Tuesday, Nov. 21, at First Baptist Church of Hennessey and officiated by Rev. Shane Bennett. Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home. Sharon was born in Guthrie on Feb. 2, 1948, to Norman and Irene Payne Henning and died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at her home in Hennessey.
