Read moreEven before his worldwide deliveries on Sunday, the Easter Bunny was scheduled for guest appearances at two back-to-back Kingfisher County egg hunts, involving hundreds of children and thousands of eggs on Saturday. If you’re reading this edition Friday night or Saturday morning, you still have time to make one or both of these popular events. Mr. Bunny starts his day at 11 a.m. at Kingfisher, left, where children ages 2-10 will gather at the practice field between Kingfisher Heritage School and the middle school to gather eggs and more than 100 prizes. Then he’ll barely have time to change his suit and fluff up his fur before hopping over to Hennessey, right, where another hunt starts promptly at noon at Bull Foot Park for ages 1-8 and up. Read moreKingfisher High School alumna Jaryn Frey was the guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Kingfisher Lions Club. Frey recently launched Rooted Financials and Business Solutions. Frey, pictured with her father and Lions Club member Mike Frey, said she wants to focus her services on the smaller, locally-owned businesses. Marketing services she offers include website design and maintenance, social media management and print media solutions. She also offers bookkeeping, accounts receivable/ payable maintenance and bank reconciliation. Frey graduated KHS in 2016 and earned a degree from Oklahoma State University in 2020. She also works two days a week at the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce and one day a week at Designs by Dennis. The name of her business, she said, is derived from Colossians 2:6-7, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” [KT&FP Staff Photo]
