Read moreThe fi rst time is the inaugural. The second time, it becomes annual. Dr. A.J. Johnson now hopes it becomes a tradition. Kingfi sher High School students and staff gathered after fi rst period on Monday at the fl ag plaza in front of the school. It’s the second straight year KHS has conducted the ceremony as a way to start the new school year. Kingfi sher’s most recent Boys State delegates raised the U.S. and Oklahoma fl ags and the Pride of Kingfi sher band played the National Anthem as well as the fi ght song. The crowd was addressed by Student Council President Harper Evans as well as Assistant Principal Colby Connel.
