KHS names November Students of the Month

Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for November 2025. Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Camila Richards, sophomore Scott Schellenberg, junior Mattie Slezickey and senior Bella Gomez.

Richards is the daughter of Tanner and Stephany Richards. She is active in Student Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Richards is a member of the KHS cheer team that placed fourth at Game Day state. She is also a member of the KHS girls basketball team.

Schellenberg is the son of Isaak and Christy Schel-lenberg. He is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll. He was recently inducted into the National Honor Society and is also a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society. Schellenberg is an active member of the Technology Student Association. He placed fourth in Computers at the SWOSU Interscholastic Meet and second place in Computers at the Oklahoma Interscholastic Meet.

Slezickey is the daughter of Dave and Melissa Slezickey. She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society. She has earned the 4.0 Award and the Academic Award. Slezickey is a member of the KHS girls basketball team and was part of the 2025 academic state champion team. She is also a member of the KHS girl cross country team that qualified for state and was on two of the academic state champion teams. Slezickey is a part of the KHS girls track team. Her 2024 mile relay and 2025 two-mile relay teams currently hold school records. She is also active in Student Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Gomez is the daughter of Jose and Marcie Gomez. She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society. She has received the 4.0 Award, Academic Award and various subject awards over the years. Gomez is active in Student Council where she currently serves as vice president. She is also a member of the 84 & Me Club and serves on the Center of Family Love Teen Board.
