CORONATION – Carter Stephenson and Brinley Reese were crowned the Kingfisher High School football homecoming king and queen during a coronation ceremony last Friday night.

Kingfisher County runners finished 1-2 in last Saturday’s boys race of the Tonkawa Cross Country Invitational.Cashion’s Cole Buastert placed first and Lomega’s Hunter Russell second in the 5,000 meter race.Baustert finished the course in 18:25.2 while Russell was just behind him in 18:30.5.

Dover “picked on” some cross country schools closer to its own size and came away with some extra hardware.

Okarche exacted a bit of revenge on Thursday with a 6-1 victory over Leedey.The game was part of the Dover Fast-Pitch Festival, but it was played on the Lady Warriors’ home turf.Rains on Thursday morning in Dover pushed the first day of the three-day festival to Okarche.

Kingfisher High School’s softball team honored one of its best fans Thursday ahead of its 10-0 win at home over Bishop McGuinness. Debbie Daugherty threw out the first pitch on “Pink Out” night prior to the game.
