It didn’t come from the North Pole, but Kingfisher’s newest tree did complete its journey from “up north” as it arrived late Wednesday morning. It got the ride from High Pressure Transports and even garnered a police escort through town before crews worked to plant it at the entrance for Kingfisher Winter Nights at Kingfisher Park. The 55-foot Norwegian Spruce will soon be decorated with lights and its lighting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, will mark the opening of Kingfisher Winter Nights. [KT&FP Staff Photos]
