Erika Mercer and Isaac Long were crowned Kingfisher High School’s 2021-22 wrestling homecoming queen and king during a ceremony held Thursday night at the APB. The night served as both homecoming and senior night for KHS. After the ceremony, the Yellowjackets defeated 4A No. 14 Clinton 27-12 in a dual. The junior high squad also defeated Clinton before the two ceremonies. Members of the homecoming court were, from left: Benjamin Erwin, Grayson Bromlow, Rhylee Toepfer, Mercer, Long, Dawson Garvin and Xander Bolner. Junior attendants were kindergarten students Wyatt Blocker, the son of William and Lynn Blocker, and Emry Vasquez, the daughter of Josh and Ashley Vasquez.
