Okarche dominates Coyle in road wins

Scout Payne scored 20 points Tuesday to lead Okarche to a 68-21 victory at Coyle.

The win was the second straight for Okarche, which was playing for the first time in two weeks.

Payne scored seven points in the first quarter as the Lady Warriors got out to a 19-5 lead.

She also had a big third quarter with 11 more points as Okarche continued to extend its lead.

Eleven different Lady Warriors scored in the game.

They also got 13 points from Ruby VanDenDriessche while Katie Parham and Avery Schieber scored seven apiece.

Okarche’s original schedule saw some shuffl ing last week.

Due to Oklahoma Bible Academy and Fairview making deep runs in the football playoffs, those games have been rescheduled.

The games with OBA on Nov. 30 have been moved to Saturday, Jan. 13 (girls will tipoff at 7 p.m.).

The Dec. 1 showdowns with Fairview will now be played Saturday, Feb. 3 (girls game begins at 1 p.m.).

Warriors take comand early, roll to easy win

Jett Mueggenborg showed no rust from a two-week break.

The sophomore scored 27 points on Tuesday as Okarche downed Coyle 7417 on the road.

Mueggenborg was 12 of 15 from the floor, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range, and also led the Warriors with seven rebounds.

The game was decided early as Okarche raced to a 24-2 lead and pushed it to 46-10 by halftime.

Caden Schieber and Braxton Smith scored eight points apiece for Okarche while Hunter Mueggenborg scored seven.

Okarche improved to 3-1 in earning its third straight win.

The Warriors play at Harding Fine Arts Tuesday in Oklahoma City before taking part later this week in the South Canadian Classic Tournament in Leedey.
