Tiffany Goodwin makes her official debut as Kingfi sher High School’s softball coach on Monday.

The Lady Jackets open their 2026 campaign with home games on back-toback days beginning Monday when Enid comes to town.

First pitch is at 5 p.m. KHS follows that up Tuesday by hosting Bethany in a district showdown, also at 5 p.m.

Goodwin was a first-year assistant last year under Morgan Dutton, who is now an assistant at Guthrie.

The 2025 Lady Jackets were 25-10 overall and 7-5 in District 4A-3, good enough to place third. They eventually were runners-up in a regional at Plainview.

Six players will take the field this season who earned all-district honors last season.

That includes seniors Kinlee East, Adlee Friesen and Liliana Garramone.

East led the team with a .438 batting average last year and was either first or second on the team in onbase percentage, slugging percentage, hits, doubles, triples and home runs. She was third in both RBIs and runs scored and was a firstteam all-district player along with Friesen.

Friesen hit .400, had 8 RBIs and scored 23 runs.

Garramone was honorable mention as she hit .247 with 21 hits, 7 RBIs and 12 runs scored.

Rejoining the team for her senior year is Savannah Hardison as well.

Among the juniors returning Addison Johnson and Kendall Farrar were all-district first team picks last year and Callie Blair was honorable mention.

Johnson was second on the team with a .419 average while Farrar was third at .410. Blair hit .295 and delivered a number of big hits during crunch time last season.

Johnson led the team with 10 doubles and tied with Farrar with a teamhigh of 22 RBIs.

Farrar led the team with 43 hits and eight triples.

Farrar and Garramone played primarily in the outfield last season while Johnson shored up third base and Friesen first.

When she wasn’t pitch-ing, East played shortstop.

Pitcher is a position where KHS will see a boost, but also took a huge loss.

Returning this season is junior Lily Voth, who missed all of last season with a torn ACL.

As a freshman, Voth led the team in innings pitched and also played shortstop.

However, the Lady Jackets got bad news in the offseason when Kennedy Stewart tore her ACL and will miss all of this year.

As a freshman last season, Stewart emerged as the team’s ace in the circle and eventually earned all-district honors.

Also expected to contribute this season are junior Ryan Scammahorn, sophomores Maecyn Tollefson, Leni Murray and Jerzie Mc-Lane and freshmen Addy Davis, Avery Harder, Abigail Jackson, Carly Richardson, Valeria Rodriguez, Bella Stoddard and Aubree Torres.

One big schedule change this year is Kingfisher not hosting its own tournament.

Instead, the Lady Jackets will play Aug. 20-22 at the Hall of Fame Festival at Devon Park, formerly USA Hall of Fame Stadium, in Oklahoma City.
