The largest graduating class in Kingfisher High School history left with nearly $3 million in awards and scholarship offers.

The class of 2020, which had 127 students, was awarded $2,944,836 in offers, according to figures provided by KHS Counselor Paula Leffingwell.

The graduates accepted $1,536,486 of those offers.

Responsible for large chunks of both of those sums were McCall Sinclair and Harrison Themer.

Sinclair accepted a $240,000 scholarship to the University of Virginia from QuestBridge.

QuestBridge offers opportunities to high-achieving graduates to attend some of the top universities nationwide that they might not otherwise be able to attend.

On top of the scholarship he accepted, Sinclair had other QuestBridge scholarship offers totaling $750,000.

Themer was a National Merit Finalist who has accepted $115,178 in scholarships and awards associated with his decision to attend Oklahoma State University.

However, Themer also had offers totaling $409,750 from the University of Oklahoma, University of Tulsa, Baylor and Florida State University.
