4-H members pick pumpkins, elect officers
The pumpkins were ready to pick and the Kingfisher 4-H members were excited to harvest their club garden, which is sponsored by the Kingfisher County Conservation District.
The pumpkin picking took part during the club’s meeting on Sept. 13.
After all of the pumpkins had been gathered, the group moved to the MA-Center at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds.
Reyse Jackson presented a project on his pet parrot, Larry.
After the members got to meet the bird, an election was held to decide on the new officers of the club.
After the votes were counted, the 2020-2021 officer team was announced as Hannah Johnson, president; Madi Bragg, vice president; Lily Lunsford, secretary; Caroline Swafford, treasurer; Savana Reherman, reporter; Trayson Deterding, historian/photographer; Rylan Burns, parliamentarian; and Reyse Jackson, committee chairperson.
