Light freezing rain fell on Kingfisher Thursday night, leaving glazed windshields and ice coated outdoor metal receptacles in its wake.

The moisture was not enough to be measured by Local Weather Observer Steve Loftis or the local Mesonet station.

Local temperature gauges showed a low of 30 degrees early Friday. Whether the freezing temperature damages developing small grain crops remains to be seen.

The ice was not heavy enough to affect road conditions.Traffic moved at normal speeds in the area Friday morning.
