Alleged threats to shoot judge ups ante for inmate

By

A Kingfisher County Jail inmate awaiting preliminary hearing on a felony domestic abuse charge now faces up to life in prison after allegedly assaulting two jailers and threatening to shoot a county judge.

Ralph Marque Pigee-Wilson, 46, 201 N. First St., Kingfisher, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to two counts of assault and battery on a police officer and a separate charge of planning to perform an act of violence.

Pigee-Wilson allegedly reached through the bars and struck jailer Michael Meier on the shoulder and then through a shampoo bottle at jailer Domni Lott during an altercation at the jail Sept. 7.

Two days later, Pigee-Wilson allegedly told a nurse at the jail that “I am going to take my AR-15 and kill the judge,” while pointing out the window at a pickup truck driven by Associate District Judge Lance Schneiter.

Pigee-Wilson was arrested last March and held on $100,000 bond on a felony charge of domestic assault and battery.

On June 11, he was released on his own recognizance in order to participate in a residential drug and alcohol treatment program, but a new warrant was issued for his arrest a week later when he failed to enter the program.

Pigee-Wilson was arrested on the warrant Aug. 13 and Schneiter ordered him held on $25,000 bond.

He was scheduled for a preliminary hearing on the domestic abuse charge last Tuesday, but that date has been pushed back to Sept. 24.

According to deputy reports, the altercation between Pigee-Wilson and jailers began in the early morning hours of Sept. 7.

After inmates were admonished three times over a three-hour period for moving fans that were placed in the cell to circulate air, Meier was making good on a threat to remove them when Pigee-Wilson allegedly reached through the bars and struck Meier on the shoulder, according to a deputy’s affidavit.

When Meier admonished Pigee-Wilson that touching jailers was considered assault, the inmate allegedly reached through the bars and struck Meier again.

Pigee-Wilson allegedly began yelling and cursing Meier and threatening to harm him and his family, saying he knew where Meier lives and what he drives and all he had to do was make one call to his “homies in the city and they have AR-15s,” according to the affidavit.

He also allegedly began yelling at, cursing and threatening Lott, stating “I’ll pop you when I get out Tuesday, (expletive).”

He then allegedly threw two shampoo bottles at Lott, hitting her on the back of the foot.

Pigee-Wilson faces up to five years in prison on each of the charges of assault on a police officer, but the charge for the alleged threat against the judge was filed with supplemental information attached alleging 10 prior felony convictions in Oklahoma and Woodward counties, dating back to 2010.

Based on his priors, Pigee-Wilson could face up to life in prison for the threat.

Additional bond amounts of $50,000 each were set on the newest charges.

He is scheduled to return to court on the new charges Sept. 23.
