Annual banquet slated
Nominations for awards due Monday
The Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce annual banquet is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10, at the Kingfi sher County Fairgrounds Exhibit Building, chamber manager Shauna Rupp announced.
The evening begins with a 5:30 p.m. social hour, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
The annual event is an opportunity for local businesses to celebrate and recognize the achievements of the past year.
Citizens of the Year and Volunteers of the Year also are recognized.
The deadline to nominate individuals for these awards is 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7.
Nomination forms have been emailed to all chamber members, but anyone can nominate award recipients by completing a form or writing a nomination letter and mailing, dropping off or emailing it to the chamber office, Rupp said.

Citizen of the Year is presented to an individual who demonstrates professional excellence, providing valuable service and exhibiting initiative on behalf of the community.
Volunteer of the Year is awarded to an individual whose volunteer efforts make Kingfisher a better place to live.
