Kingfisher Rotary Club is currently accepting applications for its annual John A. Francis Scholarship recipient.

The $1,000 scholarship is designed to assist current college students with qualified educational expenses.

To be eligible, applicants:

• Cannot be related to a current Kingfisher Rotarian (ancestor, descendant or sibling);

• Must have completed one year of higher education;

• Must have been a resident of Kingfisher County and a graduate of a Kingfisher County school district;

• Must be a full-time student the fall semester following the awarding of this scholarship, and,

• Must exhibit a strong work ethic along with high moral character and integrity.

Applicants must complete an online application form prior to the April 30 deadline (mailed forms must be postmarked by that date).

Applications must include a copy of high school and college transcripts and three letters of recommendation.

If an application meets the scholarship criteria, an interview may be scheduled with the selection committee.
