John and Linda Caldwell of Dover will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this month.

The couple were married Aug. 16, 1970, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Dover when they were both 19 years old.

They had two children: One son, Jay, and one daughter, Jana.

John is retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation while Linda is retired after a career at Cimarron Electric Cooperative.

John enjoys farming, wine-making and his honey-do list.

Linda enjoys quilting, the OHCE club and making John’s honey-do list.

COVID-19 has changed the couple’s original celebration plans, but the Caldwells will celebrate their anniversary with a “Taste of Italy” delivered from the Olive Garden and an evening theater event provided by their television.
