Cashion man charged with rape of child
A 21-year-old Cashion man pleaded not guilty Oct. 16 in Kingfisher County District Court to a charge of rape by instrumentation.
Hunter Bradley Shoicket, 113 W. Broadway, Cashion, was arrested Oct. 10 and remains jailed on $100,000 bond on an allegation that he sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl last December.
Shoicket was scheduled to return to court Tuesday when a lawyer would be appointed to represent him.
He faces a penalty of five years to life without the possibility of parole if convicted.
The alleged assault happened at the victim’s home after a ball game last year, according to a report made to the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office by the victim’s mother.
The victim and her siblings were later interviewed by a forensic specialist at the Child Abuse Response Team House in El Reno, according to the sheriff’s office affidavit.
In a separate interview with law enforcement Oct. 2, Shoicket allegedly admitted to the inappropriate contact with the child, but said it was an “accident,” according to an affidavit signed by Deputy Mike Shults, investigating officer.
