CFL’s 6th annual gala this month
The sixth annual Gift of Love Gala hosted by the Center of Family Love and the Oklahoma Knights of Columbus will be held June 15 at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
At the event, the CFL will honor Monsignor Patrick Gaalaas of the Diocese of Tulsa with the Carol and Bill Brown Outstanding Community Ambassador Award and Willard Patocka, president of the Oklahoma Knights of Columbus Foundation, with the Harold J. Wittrock Humanitarian Award.
Malcolm Tubbs, news broadcaster and on-court announcer for the Oklahoma City Thunder, will present the event for the second year.
Raising over $1 million last year, the Center of Family Love’s fifth annual Gift of Love Gala became the most successful single fundraising event in Oklahoma City last year. CEO Debbie Espinosa said she hopes to see million-dollar results again as this year’s event approaches.
“Without the outpouring of generosity from our state, we would never be able to continue supporting God’s most vulnerable children who live with disabilities,” Espinosa said.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception where guests will be able to mingle and have various chances for gifts.
The reception will be followed by dinner, entertainment provided by residents of the Center of Family Love, cash raffle drawings and a live auction.
As the night wraps up, guests will have the opportunity to top the evening off with dancing and Frank Sinatra inspired live entertainment.
